Dr. David Ahearn’s Sixth Annual Dentistry From the Heart event provided dental care for Seekonk residents and surrounding communities.
On Saturday, September 28, Dr. David Ahearn hosted Seekonk’s annual Dentistry From The Heart event – providing complimentary dental care to more than 165 residents.
The line began to form as early as the night before, with some people camping out in order to receive dental treatment.
Every year, Dr. Ahearn and his team of dentists, volunteers and sponsors provide patients with a complimentary extraction, filling or cleaning. This was the 6th annual event for Dr. Ahearn, who has donated more than $360,000 in dental care to more than 700 residents.
“My staff and I look forward to this event every year, because we know there are many people out there who simply can’t afford dental care at this time,” said Dr. Ahearn. “It’s such a great feeling to be able to give back to our community in this way.”
In addition to his own staff, Dr. Ahearn was joined by Drs. Banki and Paletta, from MSL Facial & Oral Surgery and the staff and students from Diman Regional Vocational High School’s Dental Assistant Program, all of whom donated their time to provide the free care.
Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that provides free dental work for people in need. In the past twelve years, Dentistry From The Heart events have contributed more than $8 million in free dentistry and helped more than 45,000 patients across the country.
